The publication of the Arrangement of “Xin’an Famous Clan Annals”
Recently, the book “Xin’an Famous Clan Annals” arranged by
Zhu Wanshu, Wang ping, He Qingshan, Yu Shi have been published by Huang
Sheng press. The book is a famous work of recording the history of the
clans in Huizhou and was edited and wrote by Dai Tingming, Cheng Shangkuan
in Jia Qing Years of Ming Dynasty. Former researchers on Hui Study have
quoted the materials of this book, but they lack investigation about the
editorial situation. Arrangers investigated 12 kinds of editions of this
book and found the differences among Volume Two, Volume Four and Volume
Eight. The words and language are different in different editions.
Besides, the characters of Volume Eight are 113 more than those of Volume
Four. For this reason, it is the Volume Eight preserved in National
Library that was selected by the arrangers as original copy. After
comparison with other editions, the obvious differences of characters were
explained in the proofreading. Then a comparatively perfect arrangement
edition was formed. The publication of this book will offer convenience
for reading of researchers of Hui Study. It is the first convenience for
reading of researchers of Hui Study. It is the first one of “The Journal
of The Research Materials on Hui Studies” planned by CHSAU.《太函集》、《新安文献志》、《新安学系录》、《紫阳书院志》、《休宁名族志》、《徽人年谱合刊》
Will be published within this year.
The publication of “Research on Clans of Huizhou” written by
Pro. Zhao Huafu. The work is final achievement of the author who presided
over the key project /item “Research
on Clans of Huizhou ” belonged to the human social science “the
Eight-Fifth Year Plan ” of the former-state Education communion. The
publication was sponsored by Zhang Ping, a patriotic overseas Chinese
residing in Japan, CHSAU and the Dept. of History. Headmaster Huang Dekuan
inscribed title for this monograph.
The author holds the opinion that China is a clan society since ancient
times. The prosperity of Huizhou Clan since Song and Yuan Dynasties have
made it become typical district of Chinese society of clan. Research on
the Clan of Huizhou can not only reveal the laws and characteristics of
emerge, prosperity and development of clan of Huizhou, but also has great
significance and consultory values to knowing the society of clan in
China.
It is 13 years that the author paid to the monograph from collection of
materials and the accomplishment of draft.
