 Dr
. Guo Qitao, associate professor of Dept. of History of Hawaii University
of
USA gave an academic speech/report and he was engaged by the
center as
part-time researcher .
On 9th,July,2004, Dr. Guo Qitao gave a learned report named 《美国明清史研究之管见》to researchers and
postgraduates . He introduced the general situation about Chinese history
researches of several generation of scholars such as ,Fei Zhongqing, Kong
Feili, Alman, etc. After the report ,Pro. Zhu
Wanshu , director of the center ,granted letter of appointment to Dr .Guo
Qitao to engage him as part-time researcher of CHSAU
. Dr .Guo has long being on the research of Chinese History of Ming and
Qing Dynasties, and most of his subjects involved Hui Study. His work
《巫傩与目连戏》，published by Berkely Branch School, California
USA ,discussed about Nuo culture in Huizhou . His doctoral thesis 《徽州宗族与目连戏》is to be published soon ,.Recently, he has
sponsored USA’s relative fund to research on ‘Clan of Huizhou, Ming
Dynasty ’,with one –month visit to our Center
